so i pretty much came up with an idea, and i'm sure i'm not the first... but it's a pretty jerk thing to do so I just want to be clear on whether it will work, or how it will work if i try it.
So the card {silence} pretty much prevents any cards coming before or after the stack it's on is resolved right? so i'm pretty sure it most definitely still doesn't counter anything played before it or after it on a stack making it an alright card to use... [please correct me if that thinking is incorrect]
so then i thought... maybe i'm looking at this card the wrong way, maybe i can use this card to bait a counter or buy a turn...?
so I'm curious, can I play this card in response to the start of the untap or upkeep phases of another players turn, before they draw a card and before they enter into the main phase?
if so that would mean [evil grin] that they would only be able to respond directly to the stack of this card with an instant currently in hand, before they draw, and unless they counter it, pretty much craps all over there main phase to do things?

They will get priority in their upkeep before you, but yes, you can do that.
