Title: Venser
Post by: Deebiia on August 02, 2013, 12:50:34 AM
{Venser, the Sojourner}
So what would happen if you +2 venser and exile himself? Would he come back in as the text says or would it null because the card that has that ability on it is exiled?

He'd come back. He would be exiled, but the ability isn't, if that makes sense.

Now, if someone used {Sundial of the Infinite} while his return-to-battlefield part of the ability was on the stack, THEN he'd stay gone

And that someone was YOU, he wouldn't come back.  Both are sorcery speed only.

Edit: sundial is only your turn, not sorcery speed, either way, you still have to be the one to activate it.

Just to tack on, if Venser were to +2 and exile himself, going into exile will remove all loyalty counters from him. When he comes back at end of turn, he will return with his starting loyalty (3) as if just cast.
