Is anyone here a Selesnya guild person? I'd like to talk about membership. White and green are my colors.
I'd like to talk with big white and green users if there are any. Perhaps it's not a popular combonation.
Mono green?
I'm just addicted to white. It has good spells. And then green gets me the big critters. I have a beat down deck that allows me to bring back the creatures over and over again.
Bant colors ({G}{W}{U}) are my 3 favorite to play but I don't find myself doing {G}{W} by themselves very often. I do love throwing out big green creatures and then using white to buff em up and to stymie the opponent. Then there is the green ramp (getting mana fast) that helps white with its expensive spells. On top of that +1+1 counters are one of my favorite mechanics so I'm not sure why I don't play selesnya much. It's good stuff!
Don't get me wrong. Green is awesome. But so is white. So I just gotta have both. Can't go wrong with angels and basalisks.
Ive never been the biggest fan of black.

Ohhhh, that's where we differ, friend. When I started, I used nothing but mono black. I've since switched to a million different decks, but if they ever reprint {Dark Ritual}, I'm going mono black I standard and modern.
Esper is the way to go! White has good balance (and I love vigilance), black has kill spells and blue has draw, control and other fun stuff.
Let me guess, one of your friends runs Esper and is mean about it?
Yeah, that's one of the good things about my LGS, the people are creative and use a new deck every week so nothing gets stale.
That's why my lgs tracks what kind of deck you use, and if you haven't used it in the past 3 weeks, you get extra prizes!
Gruul Smash!
Every color has positive advantages. And negative. My favorites are definitely white and green. Reds good to.
I usually play Bant but I started with Selesnya and actually just put together a new Selesnya deck I hope to pilot next Friday.
Have a Selesnya deck that DESTROYS!
Oh yeah! Of course it does. Selesnya rules.
I have two words for Selesnya:...{Homing Lightning}. And for the worms, rhinos and elementals...{Reverberate}.
Or maybe you could just throw in some {Detention Sphere}s in there, some cards with the same effects, and there you have it. An Anti-Selesnya deck
All I have to say is {Rootborn Defense} and {Sundering Growth}.

All I have to say is {Rootborn Defense}.
And all I have to say is {Merciless Eviction}.
All I have to say is timely reinforcements and remember the fallen.
{Timely Reinforcements} doesn't do much in a competitive standard setting (plus {Electrickery} whips them out), tokens disappear when they hit the gravyard so {Remember the Fallen} doesn't help much either and lastly neither are standard legal.
