As we all know one of the things that keeps Magic going is FNM and other tournaments, it keeps the game in our mind and forces us to think about it all the time. I am fortunate enough to be in high school with a great group of nerds who play every day at lunch (last year we missed two days but that is still like 190 days). I was wondering how often other people play.
I play once a week at FNM. Occasionally I'll get together with friends over a weekend and play, or join sealed league which gives me something to do on Weds nights for a few weeks.
Which reminds me...time for sealed league!

Can you explain sealed league?
Fnm, once a week team meetings, and whenever we need to work on something new. One of my teammates lives upstairs from me.
Bout 2 times a month at fnm, and I always take a new deck lol.
Whenever I get the chance. Most the time I have no one to play with so ill make a deck and play test it against myself. I wish I knew more players in the area...that I could stand...so I could play more.
Side question...idk if its the same in your LGS but for some reason at mine no one wears deodorant...I just don't get it. Is this something that is everywhere or is it just my lgs?
Moneekah and I try to play every night or every other night at our kitchen table. :) I don't get to play in tournaments too often, but thats normal for a grad student & father.

Do what a friend of mine did to one of our teachers...bring them tic-tacs, deodorant and soap
Sadly I don't get to play FNM very often so I'm not well known so I don't think it'd go over very well lol
Yeah didn't work well with my friend either...
Try as much as I can. But my friends aren't as competitive as me, so they don't like playing against my decks. Fnm is always a possibility, but sometimes the people there are just far too arrogant, or just straight up douchers.
I know how you feel, my friends aren't as competitive either and my first time at FNM sucked, I lost 0 and 4. You just have to go out and play though, FNM teaches you a lot about Magic techniques and improves your decks and gameplay. Last week I won 5-0 went 2-0 on all matches but one.
I used to go to fnm every friday but now I work and do college, so now I just let my friend use all my cards and I play edh on cockatrice.

B.O. and farts are the universal odors you'll smell at an LGS.
I'd much father smell a fart then b.o. Farts happen but bad body odor comes from self neglect which for some reason makes my stomach turn just as much as the stench. I guess I don't understand why theres a corilation btwn card games and bo.

A lack of attention from the opposite sex.
That poses the question of what came first. The bad BO followed by unattraction of the opposite sex, or the unattraction of the opposite sex followed by bad BO?

I'm gonna go with the latter. Not everyone bases who they want to be with on looks but I can almost guarantee that most women want someone who cares enough about themselves to use proper hygiene unless they themselves don't use proper hygiene. I could be wrong.
I play 1x a week for sure at FNM. But some times 3x a week when I go with my bf to his friends house or on our down time lol

Ha! I remember when I was a HS freshman attention from the opposite sex would make me sweat. I figure for a lot of Tweens you're just damned if they do look and damned if they don't.
Oh yeah. And I only play a few times a month with my friends. There is no LGS within an hour of here.
There is this girl at fnm, she has horrible bo, and she obviously doesnt care what she eats, people have actually walked out when they found out they were in the same pod as her, this on time she was cramming her face with chocolate and then exactly one week later the chocolate was still on her face :( gross, and i know it was the same chocolate because it was on the left of her forehead, how can anyone even go a day without cleaning themselves? :/ let alone a week....

Like normal sealed (6 packs, 40 card deck) but you come back with the same deck for a few weeks (usually 5) and each week add a single pack to your pool of cards. Sometimes there are crazy rules each week (if the tournament decides to use them) such as "all creatures have vigilance this week" or "all instants cost 2 less to cast this week." We don't use use the crazy rules at our lgs, we just want to play magic and have fun like normal.
I actually start collecting MtG cards back in 2002 (Onslaught) but i never played a single time with anyone (i do know how to play though)
Where i live nobody plays MtG, to be honest, nobody sels MtG cards either !!
But i still watch the pro tours, set reviews, box openings, etc,....simply because i really like MtG 😊
The only time i get the chance to play is Duel of the Planeswalkers
That's like me. But I play a bit more. I'm in a small Missouri town in the middle of practically nowhere. But the gas station sells boosters. I keep looking for places with more MtG merchandise. I found a nunneries in Columbia Missouri. They had thousands and thousands of cards. None were packaged so you can just look through unil you find what you wanted. Each card was like five cents and I bought ten for fifty. That's nearly a booster pack. Bub of course you probably know that.
After reading these Bo things. It make me feel horrible like I need another shower
Edit: 15 minutes later I'm out

Haha sorry I strayed off topic there. I just find it baffling and wondered what the community thought.
Haven't done a tourney yet but, 2-3 times a week casual. Mostly free for all 3-6 heads. A few drinks in and vengeance is rampant.
