Title: Poetry? Contest inspiration
Post by: InfinitiveDivinity on July 30, 2013, 09:52:46 PM
After submitting a flow to the contest I've been thinking about my music a lot lately. Today I got inspired and finished a flow I've been trying to work with for a while. I want to post it, so here it is:

               -In Cloth We Trust-

(Intro, sung by children preferably, to the tempo of "Pledge of Allegiance")

I pledge of allegiance, to the advance, of the united state of poverty. And to the crustaceans, who simply can't; One percent, under fraud, indisputible, skim the cream and leave the rest just to rot;

(Start up beat and actual flow)

Armored laundry cars, keep my slacks safe;

Drop kick the piggy, try to break the bank;

A living made of building, back broke of concrete;

An existence spent bleeding, sweating merely to eat;

Black golden pillars leave business babies in rust;

Cigar toting cats screaming "in cloth we trust";

Inheritance boarded up by big boxes of monopoly;

Left we have not, even blind see monarchy;

An eye for an eye leaves the sharp suits just fine;

Change your filter to jade to see truely divine;

View the skyline, the highlife, a small glimpse of the street;

That's surrounded by walls, where wolves gorge on fresh meat;

A better way to barter, "I'll give you paper for gems!";

Not just some, they want all, trade them in for your bread;

Dreams, nothing more than their presence for most;

Buying loops of fruit Kroger, because you can't afford Post.

Dollar menu sludge shovels, limit: 3 to a corner;

Gotta stretch that bill further, but no fries with your order;

Busting 9 to 5 for life until composure is dust;

Lions paw crushing, roaring "in cloth we trust!"...

Finally gave this one a title and added a small amount. The arrangement needs some work so it sounds better. The new addition is hard to read, it's an extreme play on words that's really hard to understand. Read it "Idea-en astute individual try" and maybe you'll understand it, it also reads, "I.D., an astute individual try". The pronunciation has to be perfect. Here we are:

                -ID, and so am I-

I turn glass into lightning with the blink of a socket;

Increase my nine lives with this pen in my pocket;

Cross out the old and leave it behind;

Revolutionize the use of intellectual mind;

Inspire those blind to think highly inclined;

Give keys to locked doors and study my finds;

Climb 14000 to the summit and toke;

accomplish my goal without the use of a rope;

Fight through the middle ages with dragons and spell pages;

Give thanks to the elite whom pillaged others for raises;

Tweak the strings of the brain, fix those who think sane;

Take the pulp of the slain, flush the rest down the drain;

Wrong minded or not, down the left path I go;

You can wait in line forever, I'm backstage at the show;

ID a-n astute individual try;

Though the greatest of Esh, is undoubtedly Eye;

Skeletons are breakable, leave crushed bones where they lie;

Life's a game, f*** it, play on hard 'til you die.

Worked on a new one yesterday and today. I like it. Here ya go:

                  -Dissension-

The abortionist of proportion is;

An adjective spewing contortionist;

Esch has come and the moral is;

Run you can't, hide denied, you are on the list;

The unspeakable wretch, parrot of death on your shoulder;

Bringer of plague, nightmare that haunts when your older;

Ruby red river gush caused by verse overheard;

Cannot withstand with mantility of herd;

Symphonic, catastrophic, complete lack of motion;

Memory erosion by cranial explosion;

A crater invader numbers all 26;

Quiver as you wade deeper into River Styx;

Whistling baby bass, drums through your skull;

Intelligent barrage, crimson red hits the wall;

A matter of gray, brick by brick down it flows;

Cerebral conundrum, complex, mural rose;

Unhandled words, lettered soup from the faucet;

Do you cannot, try to withdraw to the closet;

Talent in lumps, crumpled into the corner;

Deeply twisted reflection, you've seen the true face of horror;

Cannon manning buckaneer, ripping, shredding your ear;

Make-up or mask does not near hide the fear;

A comprehensive slaying beta-wave no doubt;

Thought pattern shut down through steel smoke and blackout;

Strap in and sit back, hold on for dear life;

As you plunge ever closer towards the blade of the knife;

I've been getting extremely dedicated to my music lately and got down and dirty and came damn near close to finally finishing this thing. Will hopefully be recording some nonsense with my partners soon, without further delay!

               -In Cloth We Trust-

Change your filter to jade to see truely divine;

View the skyline, the highlife, a small glimpse of the street;

That's surrounded by walls, where wolves gorge on fresh meat;

Leading us to believe that children are our future;

Why is then that your raising them like cattle to be butchered?;

More brainless is the system because the backing ain't with 'em;

Yet another fallen victim due to a lack of income;

Cracks turned fault under a silent assault;

Tumbling through fingers into a perilous vault;

Big boy wallet member FDIC;

Buy one, get one now! 'cuz f***ing nothing is free;

In Cloth We Trust, multi-trillion or bust;

Emerald hue coming through causing frenzy of lust;

Saying current level living is not lacking or unjust;

A way a life full of such strife is nothing more than pure disgust;

In Cloth We Trust, multi-trillion or bust;

Emerald hue coming through causing frenzy of lust;

Saying current level living is not lacking or unjust;

A way a life full of such strife is nothing more than pure disgust;

A sliver removed every due we all know it as requirement;

Another way to take away, giving hope calling retirement;

Whisked away into breeze to think to touch it is punishment;

Word given of foggy promises Belief's only supplement;

Not many outlast fade away to become past;

As a lifetime's account is broken from aged cask;

Another deposit straight into Sammy's wallet;

Time to make that expansion upon the Oval Office;

A lottery savior is lackluster disguise;

Newfound pottery shatters in moments right before eyes;

Frail snail shell horseback given for free at the barn;

Hollering "Give me that horse back!" As new bracket is earned;

Luxurious would be nice but with spending now think twice;

As uncle comes downstairs to lay more traps for the weak mice;

Clever Stuart thinks as he weaves and ducks behind leak sinks;

But poison already administered through the tantalized free drinks;

To tell me that breast lumps are death clumps is fabricated bullshit;

To say that lab grade pharmaceutical aid doesn't lay in the tool kit;

Death is lucratively punitive so keep digging the hole;

Foreman busy bee shovel occupied reaping the souls;

In Cloth We Trust, multi-trillion or bust;

Emerald hue coming through causing frenzy of lust;

Saying current level living is not lacking or unjust;

A way a life full of such strife is nothing more than pure disgust;

Lesser of two is still true in regards remains an evil;

People hoping for a better catching only shitty sequels;

Single ballot claiming valid still fostering a new weasel;

Either way group still stays feeding poison through the needle;

The land of opportunity to some an ongoing classic;

Flourish always lacking, idea still shrink wrapped in plastic;

Heads of the cannibal dragon reign flames;

Puppet strung chair strong with plenty peasants to blame;

To call them our leaders... .poo. more like gold-digging stepdads;

Sending all but their own to torch as if committing witchcraft;

Watch the dagger that staggers breaking pictures in hallway;

The blade is dipped in frog leather and kills on contact near always;

A better way to barter, "I'll give you paper for gems!";

Not just some, they want all, trade them in for your bread;

Dreams, nothing more than their presence for most;

Buying loops of fruit Kroger, because you can't afford Post.

Dollar menu sludge shovels, limit: 3 to a corner;

Gotta stretch that bill further, but no fries with your order;

Busting 9 to 5 for life until composure is dust;

Lyons paw crushing, roaring "In Cloth We Trust!"...
