Title: Enchantment 'Control'
Post by: Subiskier on July 26, 2013, 08:56:02 PM
If I have {ajani's chosen} out and a player plays {pacifism} on it, is that enchantment under my 'control'? Since its attached to my creature on my side of the table? Would it trigger its ability allowing me to put the pacifism on the token it creates?

No. Your opponent controls the enchantment since they cast it. You cannot use s card on it that says"you control". I cannot find an official ruling, but these are the rules.

I got your back ;)

303.4e (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=303.4e): An Aura's controller is separate from the enchanted object's controller or the enchanted player; the two need not be the same. If an Aura enchants an object, changing control of the object doesn't change control of the Aura, and vice versa. Only the Aura's controller can activate its abilities. However, if the Aura grants an ability to the enchanted object (with "gains" or "has"), the enchanted object's controller is the only one who can activate that ability.
