Title: How to perform an exact match search
Post by: Vagisil Jones on July 23, 2013, 06:43:46 PM
When using the Card Database, how do you perform an exact match search? This means, for example, if I search for "draw a card" that only cards whose rules text matches that exact spelling and word order should show up.

Thanks!

Go to Filter. Underneath the input text you'll see te buttons Name, Types and Text. Click Text and untick Name. Write 'draw a card' in the text field, click and colours you want (or none) and you're good to go. Don't forget the locked option if you want to continue looking for more.

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to work for me. The way the search works gives a lot of false positives, depending on what you type in. For example, if I'm trying to look up all blue cards that hose red, and I type "red" (without double quotes) into the search bar and choose Text, I'll get results that include "counteRED" and "armoRED"....basically any card that has the sequence "red" in it. I'm looking for a way to only pull cards that say the word "red" by itself.

You can use Advanced Predicate for things like that.
