For me, it's when I opened the second to last pack in my M12 box to find a Jace and a foil Gideon... Happy dance was done :)
To be fair, that sorta thing always happens to me, I've always been the lucky jerk among my friends in this regard! >.<
I got a Sword of War and Peace and a Karn Liberated in a New Phyrexia pack. I blacked out from there.....
Recently in fact! In my Innistrad box, around the middle I pulled {Liliana of the Veil}, {Garruk Relentless} and a foil {Slayer of the Wicked}. I was STOKED!!!
I blogged about it and got much praise only then to find a $400 electricity bill in the mail. 😱

The best pack I opened recently was the prize of fnm where while saying you have a chance to open 3 rares I opened the green black land the transforming vampire then a foil green and black land
Foil Garruk, balefire dragon and a third garbage rare. But so cool to get three rare/mythic in one pack!

Last pack in my innistrad booster box was the best pack I will ever open. Had liliana garruk relentless and foil snapcaster. I opened with a couple buddies and we all lost it. I never expected to get all those cards in my box and got all 3 in one pack. I'll never forget that pack..

I was happy to pull a Sword of Feast and Famine from one of those deck builder boxes recently......but I would flip out if I pulled Garrak, Liliana, and a Snapcaster in one booster. I hope Magic maintains replacing the foils and mythic rares in common slots.
Just pulled a {Snapcaster Mage} and finally got my vamp I wanted {Bloodline Keeper}. I also got my second {Skaab Ruinator}, thinkin blue/green self mil would be fun with that guy......idk tho a splash of black with {Buried Alive} would help as well.
I just heard from a store owner (who opens LOTS of boosters for resale) that the "chase rares" are more frequent in Fat packs. This has been his experience from opening dozens and dozens of boxes of booster cards. I'm still doubtful though.
What is a "chase rare"? I did get one of those 9 booster fat boxes if that is what your talking about. I just bought 7 boosters and I think I got better pulls from regular boosters. Obviously those are not huge numbers like a store owner but hey take it for what it's worth ;)
Good question! A chase rare is a card that players by booster packs hoping to get. Like Planeswalkers and {Snapcaster Mage}. Basically, the money cards.

Whoa! Dude, just buy him if you love him so much. ;) you should be able to get him for under $20.
Haha, yeah you are right! I have recently found him on eBay buy it now for $18 ... but its the principle of the matter now!!! hahahahaha
Ok you are 100% gonna think I'm lying. But I'm not. My stepfather opened a 15 card booster and it was ALL mythics with the exeption of 3 rares. I can't remember the cards off the top of my head but he got 2 planeswalkers one of which was multiple colored. I mailed the wizards of the coast and got no response. I think it was a fluke pack.
Do you know what set that was from? I remember hearing rumors about "Treasure Packs" in Zendikar block. Like people opening actual {Black Lotus}es and the like. I don't know if any of that was ever confirmed though.
I have not got much good stuff in packs but the most benificial card i ever got in a booster is a {Spellskite} cause it has won me so many games with it

My brother in law loves lions and screamed like a little girl when he found an Ajani in a booster in his new toolkit box. And he had a heart attack when I gave him a birthday card with Ajani vengench in it.
My wow moment was last night when I tore into a fat pack of the ininstrade (or however it is spelled and pronounched) set. I was mainly looking for cards to build a werewolf deck, and I was finding a werewolf in every booster I opend. But the last one was the most speshel, because the new Guruk was in it. And that felt so satisfying. But it always dose feel so satisfying to get a planswalcker in a booster.

At the prerelease booster draft I was passed a mentor of the meek and an elite inquisitor. Only later dis I realize how much they were worth and couldn't believe they got passed.

I don't know if it's the best booster I've ever opened, but yesterday I bought one Innistrad, one New Phyrexia, and one Mirrodin Besieged. While the other two didn't have anything worth mentioning, the NP booster held a {Due Respect}, {Shrine of Burning Rage}, {Mental Misstep}, and... Wait for it... {Spellskite}! 😷 What a haul! What a haul! 😷
I got a spellskite in a booster also.
On Christmas I got a m12 booster box and in one of the booster I got a foil {dungrove elder} and a normal one
