It's a good concept and would be crazy once it really gets going but I don't think it can compete with the aggro decks. I've built one similar to this in the past and have found that it seems a little slow initially, with the perfect hand you can come out blazing, looks like a lot of fun though!
Also maybe through in some {Rancor} for trample!
It's a good idea your just focused too much on "the good stuff"
{vorel, the hull clade} fits nice with the hydras. As well as evolve triggeres. {experiment one}, {scavenging ooze}, and the other indestructible one from DA. I didn't see {abrupt decay}.
I don't like the primordial hydra here, you already got the good new one in, so mabe focus on an early to midrange board with {strangleroot geist} and a lil more ramp that just the arbor elves, farseek for sure.

I do agree completely, with everything you say, needs to be a lot faster, Geist would be sweet and {scavenging ooze} would be freaking awesome here! {primordial hydra} really isn't needed, these changes could make it faster and more competitive.
