Title: Getting more iMtG users into commander?
Post by: That_Guy on July 14, 2013, 08:24:49 AM
So, i have been around these forums for about a year now, and i have noticed one of the least active threads on here is commander (but how? Its the best format of all... Am i right?). It has gotten me wondering whether we could/should try and find i way to get other people on these forums into the casual format of commander? Would anyone be interested in helping me? Also if i might add dudecore has done a great job with all his commander help threads (They are stickied, if you havn't checkef them out yet, i steongly advise you do so). Its been a great help if you are reading this dudecore :)

I think the constant novelty of standard and a set release a few times a year is what keeps a lot more people involved in standard. It's like the pop culture of MtG.

Very true, and although I love Modern, M14 is pulling me back in for Summer Standard. I really want to pilot RDW.

Agreed about the standard allure. Another thing I've found over my decade and a bit or so of EDH is that most lose interest trying to theme a 60 card deck (I mean minus the average 40 land from a EDH deck) without using play sets. Also the scope of cards you can choose from puts people off because there's always someone with a better set of cards than yours!

But I will always wave the EDH banner! I love flavour/theme decks and EDH is the pinnacle format to do this in!
