Can I destroy a creature with hex proof with {Grimgrin corpse born}  not sure if this counts as a spell. Thanks.

It doesn't untap during your untap step.  If you want to untap it, you have to sac a dude.

You can untap him any time you can sac a creature FYI.  You are not limited to only doing it on your untap step.

There is also some zombie that returns creature to your hand when he comes in play. I seen people use two of him for sacrificial fodder

{ghoul raiser} or {gravedigger}

{necrotic ooze} + {bloodline keeper} and grimgrin is terrifying.
