K so if I attack with {Johan} & {Aurelia, the Warleader}, I know that everything attacking untaps and a new combat phase begins. Does {Johan}'s ability come into effect if I do not attack with him on the 2nd combat phase?
It very well should, it does not separate attack phases, it only stipulates that it has to be on your turn.
Yeap, seems to be the case.
So his ability is within combat phases; not turns?
Yea, it says "gains "Johan cannot attack" until end of combat".

Correct, his ability activation is conditional on being "the beginning of combat" phase, before attackers. Normally this phase only occurs once, but by adding a second combat phase, it will occur again at the beginning of the 2nd combat.
Note that if you grant him "cannot attack" on the first combat, it is an "until end of turn" effect, so he will still have it for the 2nd (and all other creatures will still have the wonky vigilance he gives them). So no "takesies-backsies" if for some reason you wanted to.
But it doesn't say "until end of turn" it says "this combat". So wouldn't it only affect the one combat phase?

You're right! It does just say "this combat." My mistake, I thought it lasted until end of turn. Should have read the card ;) you are 100% correct.
So happy! Literally said "yay!" To myself.
Im such a noob
