You call this control, but it really feels more Midrange Aggro. Which can be good. Just "feels" that way. To me at least.
What would u do to make it more controlling it is my first ever attempt at control
Drop Garruk, add {Tamiyo}. Drop Syncopates for {Dissipate}. Aetherling is good. Drop Thrag and add {Auger of Bolas}. He's good draw power. Drop Farseek, and a Terminus for {Think Twice}. More draw is best. Drop the Armada wurm for another counter, I like {Render Silent}.
Check out my list here (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?topic=25166.0). Yes, it's {B} instead of {G}, but if you drop the guys I mentioned, you could go straight Azorius Control. Hell, could probably throw in a {Delver of Secrets} with all the instants/sorceries being run.
Maybe add some unsummons to help you out early game. Along with negates/essence scatter

While {Negate} and {Essence Scatter} or cheaper than {Dissipate}, they are more situational. That's why the majority of control play Dissipate. {Syncopate} would be a better choice than Negate or Essence scatter.
Syncopate I don't think would be a much better choice, it's more expensive mana wise just for an exile effect?

But you're not limited to an instant/sorcery(Like Negate) or creatures(like Essence Scatter). And early game, Syncopating for 1 can be menacing, and cost the same as the other two. Syncopate late game is the suck.
Gotcha, I c now. It's def better situationally than essence scatter/negate but dissipate IMO is better

Yes, Dissipate is the go to right now. Though my favorite is {Render Silent}.
