I'm thinking about running {blu whit blak} in my standard deck, so does anyone have any good ideas for me?
It doesn't have blue, but an easy one is {Gideon's Lawkeeper} and {Royal Assassin}. You could make your deck based around tapping your opponents creatures, maybe with {Gideon's Avenger}s. Then you could add that Leyline that gives you hexproof, so their creatures would be useless, and decks with noncreature spells couldn't affect you easily. Or maybe a {Mark of Asylum}, too, just to protect yourself against anything.
Or I could just do {2 royal assassins}, {2 reaper from the abyss}, and {2 frost titans}.
Those are good, but have high converted mana costs. If you can get other creatures out to protect yourself until you get that combo out, it'll be great.
Easy, {supreme verdict} :)
But then you're using up card slots that could be used for cards that just tap your opponent's creatures and deal with them that way. Then, you'll still have your creatures to use to tap your opponent's creatures.
Then play {downpour} x2, {sleep}, and that brings you to turn 6 to start playing things
Most of the cards quoted here are not standard legal. {supreme verdict}, {downpour} and {sleep} are. {royal assassin} is not. Neither is {Gideon's avenger}.
There aren't a ton of "combos" within the esper build. You can run control and play a {jace memory adept} and {duskmantle guildmage} combo.
That, right there, is a sweet combo
Oops. I didn't see that it was a standard deck.
Actually, I'm kinda thinking I'm gonna do an {Orzhov}//{Azorius} deck where I can get a super high life total while sucking my opponents life at the same time, and then just detaining and countering their annoying threats. Does anyone have any tips or combos you can tell me?
