 {Tormod's Crypt} might be a little better than the relic since it requires no mana commitment and leaves your graveyard in tact for goyf.

This is true. And Deathrite can take care of snap targets.

This isn't a sideboard card, but would  {Karakas} be better than maze of ith against Show and Tell + Tin Fins/Reanimator? Also could save Thalia and Teeg from removal.
