I want to make a deck with lots of creature steal and need help finding the best combos.
Also a question: if you have {venser, the sojourner} and play {mind control}, when you blink The enchantment do you immediately lose control of the creature it was previously enchanting? Can I just keep stealing and stealing g or is that way too good to be true
To answer your question, yes, when an enchantment like {Mind Control} leaves play, the creature it was enchanting will return to being under control of its original controller. When mind control comes back into play if you bounced it with Venser, you could take control of a different creature with it, but the other one is in no way connected to mind control anymore.
It is possible to permanently keep creatures in other ways thoughs. If you gain control of an opponent's creature, you can target it with a flicker spell like {Ghostly Flicker}, {Cloudshift}, {Restoration Angel}, or even {Conjurer's Closet}. When the creature itself is flickered, it has no connection to it's previous controller, and is treated as a new object that you control. Note that this doesn't work with Venser, as Venser can only target creatures you own (regardless of who controls them, it's owner is whose deck it came from).
Really funny black combo is necroskitter, midnight banshee, and lastly kulrath knight. All you need is -1\-1 counters to do it all and maybe crumbling ashes. Sorry for not linking cards I don't know how to.
To put this combo in a nutshell you can force creatures to not attack via counters from kulrath knights and when they die necro fetches them for you onto your side, a god send for this is glistening oil since it bounces back to you once the creature it's on dies, just be cautious with how you distribute counters in the early game since you need removal for the big uns. I hope this combo idea fulfills what you want, btw a full deck list can be found online by googling "wither deck" it should work if not try "necroskitter deck" beware of blowfly infestation since it can force an infinite destruction loop and total board wipe. It's hilarious. I researched this when my friends found a deck that abused knight exemplar OP, sorry I'm getting off track. But I did introduce them to slivers once they felt that way.
That's a great combo. To link cards put the name inside { } brackets. { black lotus }
The squiggly ones { .........
}
Thanks
{necroskitter}
{kulrath knight}
{glistening oil}
{blowfly infestation}
{crumbling ashes}
{knight exemplar}
Hope that helps, currently I'm building a turn one {goblin Charbelcher} it's pretty funny
Oh I found the torn down version of that deck ill post it so you know the other easy -1 -1 cards
{contagion clasp}
{contagion engine}
{black suns zenith}
{torture}
{scar}
And some basic kill cards
Have fun!

Your link produced a unnamed basic land from the set (null) with no errata and that is card (null) out of (null) from the set.
That might just be my iPad or might be something that shows up for everyone.
You might want to fix that.

It was because they put spaces in between the brackets and the words "black lotus". You have to put the brackets directly around the card name, with no spaces.
I use {Puca's Mischief} in one of my modern/casual decks. Throw that in with an array of crap permanents and you're set! Only one per turn per card, but still quite useful since it doesn't only target creatures.
Also any of the until end of turn creature grabs from red like {Act of Treason} or {Zealous Conscripts} then use {Sundial of the Infinite} to end the turn, skipping the end step and exiling the ability of them returning at the end, there for keeping them. Also {Zealous Conscripts} can take planeswalkers :)
Also I didn't see {Beguiler of Wills} little slow, but once u start Playing creatures of ur own and then stealing theirs u can take big stuff every turn! And the red end of turns also work with the flicker effects to keep em
I've never seen that card! Thanks
:) I built a creature steal deck in commander for giggles and its fun :)
