Title: artifact enchantment question
Post by: Wackaman9001 on June 24, 2013, 01:37:54 AM
Ok so the situation is I have the {mycosynth lattice}/{bludgeon brawl} combo going. If I enchant a creature with say an {angelic destiny} can I then also equip the enchantment to a creature?

Yep! Here's the ruling from Gatherer:

6/1/2011   While Bludgeon Brawl is on the battlefield, an Aura enchantment that somehow becomes an artifact in addition to its other types will also become an Equipment. Any of its abilities that refer to either "enchanted creature" or "equipped creature" refer to the creature it's currently attached to. It can be attached to other creatures using its equip ability. If you try to attach the Aura Equipment to a creature it can't legally be attached to, it remains where it is. If the creature it's attached to becomes an illegal permanent for it to enchant, the Aura Equipment will be put into its owner's graveyard as a state-based action.

Yes you can equip the myco lattice due to it being a static effect artifact.

If it were equipment or a myr you would not be able to equip it

That ruling is kind of confusing. So it equips to the new target and the creature gets the enchant bonus plus the +x/+0? And if the creature is killed the aura dies even though its an equipment?

Yep! It's a bit confusing, but that's how it works. It basically just gives your aura the "equip" ability and adds in the "+x/+0" buff. Everything else is "normal."

So I can enchant creature a and equip creature b but if a dies the aura still leaves even though its attached to b correct?

It can still only be attached to one creature at a time. It's basically just an aura that can move around to other creatures (for its equip cost).
