Ok, so i was using my varolz the scar striped edh, and my friend was using his bant one (cant remember his general) but anyway, he had me on 13, he was on 32. He had a {venser, the sojourner} (a 4 more loyalty away from being able to ultimate it), a manland, and a few ramp artifacts and i had 7 lands, {chromatic sphere}, {Phyrexian Arena}, and a {Viridian Emmisary}. I had about 5 lands in hand and a {sepulchral primordial}, i drew a {Lifes finale} played it put {Admonition Angel}, {Deadeye Navigator}, and a {Prime speaker Zegana}. He +2'd venser and passed, i then played sepulchral primordial, took navigator, passed, he upped venser again and passed, i then sacced sphere for blue and tapped a land to flicker the primordial (after i attacked of course) gained control of the angel and played a land, exiled venser, and for the next few turns attacked and exiled, he scooped and i won the game (very fun game and went for about 2 hours). Anyway, just thought id share this with everyone :)
Unless im thinking kfthis wrong, you couldn't flicker. You would have sacced for colorless since your general is {G}{B}
Yes, your correct. You can't use any other colors besides your commanders colors.
Even if you stole it from him?
If you controlled it you can use HIM. But you could only produce your commanders colors. Cause let's say I use {Jhoira of the Ghitu}. I can only play the colors {R}{U}. So that means I can't put in colors like {B}{G}{W}. And I coul only produce the colors {R}{U}.
I do not believe that you can create mana of a color that is not within your commander's color identity. If you do by, let's say, tapping a signet or a mana rock for blue while playing a mono red commander, you would instead produce one colorless mana.
Like a {Birds of Paradise} in a mono green deck can only tap for green, in a green/red deck can only tap for green or red, in a green/white/blue deck he can only tap for green, white or blue no matter what and same aplies for other color combinations if you steel an {Island} in a non blue deck it can still tap for blue
903.9. (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=903.9.): If mana would be added to a player's mana pool of a color that isn't in the color identity of that player's commander, that amount of colorless mana is added to that player's mana pool instead.
Oh well... Would have been pretty cool if i could do it though....
So mainly you lied or something lol.

I wouldn't say he lied. Just didnt know the rules.
Ah this story brings me back to when my brother and I first started magic. We had massive games that lasted hours also! We may not have known all the strange rules of magic then, or what the stack was...but it was really fun. :)

This. I am new to commander and was not aware of this rule, and apparently neither was my friend. And apparently not knowing all the rules on these forums gives you a lot of negative karma
