Title: Kerbal Space Program
Post by: Gorzo on June 19, 2013, 01:58:46 AM
Anyone else gotten into this game? Damnit it's addictive.

Still pretty new to it, but I've gotten the hang of getting stuff into orbit...haven't done much beyond that, though. My next step is to learn how to dock, and start a space station. I have a core full of docking stations in orbit, but getting anything to it is proving quite the task!

If you have a lot of free time you want to waste, and you love science and space and stuff, check this game out. It's basically a giant, realistic physics engine and rocket-building tools.

Yeah, it's on steam. Check YouTube for some videos (and hilarious rocket failures)

I spent (wasted) hours today trying to build a rover that doesn't tip over constantly. I think I have it, but now I need a rocket capable of blasting the SOB into orbit with enough fuel left to sent it to the moon (or elsewhere). So addicted.

Lol that usually happens at first. Make sure you do the tutorials! And be careful when building your rockets - you have to keep symmetry, aerodynamics, weights, and thrust power all in mind. And make sure you use advanced SAS units - those things are a godsend!
