BlackJester's Tricks #34: Daylight Savings Time

I touched on {Tree of Redemption} earlier, but I wanted to go a different direction with it today.  Life batteries.
First store your life total in the Tree (if it's over 13, otherwise, don't bother ;)).  Then, using Phyrexian Mana payment on cards like {Spellskite} and the Souleaters ({Immolating Souleater} for example), you can drop your life total to 5 and activate your Fateful Hour stuff:

{Gather the Townsfolk}
{Clinging Mists}
{Faith's Shield}
{Gather the Townsfolk}
{Gavony Ironwright}  <--- Great interaction with Tree
{Thraben Doomsayer}  <----Good too.
{Village Survivors}

Then, you can reclaim your total when you need it!   ;D  So, for example, let's say you have the Ironwright and Tree on the BF and Immolating Souleater.  Put your 20 life in the tree, your life becomes 13.  Pay to activate the eater four times to drop your life to 5.  Tree becomes 1/24.  Switch back, and the tree will go to 0/5 until you need it again.

Bonus Combo:

{Tree of Redemption} + {Feed the Pack} + {Undying Evil}
Toss in {Disciple of Griselband} to gain oodles of life from extra wolves just laying around. Charge up your tree and do it again!
