When you make a total rookie play, look like an idiot, lose the game which loses you the match, and that loss means you don't place? Me too!
Used {Domri Rade} -2 ability to have my creature fight his {Hound of Griselbrand} causing both of them to die right? This also killed my domri. Then the hound comes back with a counter and I'm like WTF? I look at the card closer and realize it says UNDYING not UNLEASH.
Anyone else have bonehead plays that will give you nightmares for weeks on end?
I had one that ended up alright. I had a {Woodlot Crawler} out game 2 against a guy playing Naya. He had tons of green creatures, so I was swinging every turn with the crawler pretty fearlessly. I happened to swing one time and looked up to see him looking at me like I was an idiot. Only then did I realize there was a {Restoration Angel} on the field :P Fortunately, I saw that he had a {Temple Garden} out instead of a {Sunpetal Grove}, so it ended up going through :P
Got my opponent down to 1 life exactly. Had {Ascended Lawmage} equipped with {Trepanation Blade} his whole game up until me putting trepanation had been him laying down mana so he had alot of cards to go through to his next land. Anyways. He gets {Blast of Genius} and then discards {Worldfire}
An has his 2 {Fluxcharger} attack me then drops a searing spear or something. Worst part is. I've never beaten his Izzet deck. It constantly pulls wins out of nowhere :(
Had a guy at three cards in his library, and could have used {Nephalia Drownyard} to kill him but passed the turn he killed me with some stupid creature and it was the semifinal round of a game day
I lost to {Battle of Wits} . Had lethal damage my next turn too 😔
Basically what I've seen is if you see a chance to win. You take it. No questions.
Losing to battle of wits would make me so mad. It's like you have that many cards. And only 4 of that one. What are the chances -.-
Yeah he dropped it and I was like come on {Acidic Slime}! But alas, no slime. GG sir 😩
I was playing in a small legacy event and I {Surgical Extraction}Ed a card from my opponents gy during his end step so I get to look at his hand. I see a {Supreme Verdict}... During my turn I space out and cheat in to play a {Phyrexian Dreadnought} then I pass turn and face palm as he verdicts... Yup.
Only had real punts like that during play testing. But once I was playing a esper control deck and nevermored sphinx. Felt like an idiot rest of the game. Just gotta play reallllll slow. You don't do dumb things as much lol
I made a rainbow deck at the DGM release. Mainly because they ran out of Guild Packs so i just got 4 dgm 1 gatecrash and 1 RtR
I was playing against a Grixis Spell deck with my Dimir deck.
I had him down to 8 life and I had 20.
He dropped {Charmbreaker Devils} right after I {Death's Approach}ed his last pathetic creature. Next turn I played a mana and pulled out {Consuming Aberration} to pass.
His Charmbreaker triggers and he has this massive stack of spells I milled.
I pull out randomly a {Turn // Burn} and he wins not that far after killing my Aberration.
I was playing bant tokens and early on in the game my opponent asks someone if he can cast a card in his hand for 0 and destroy all my tokens. I knew right away he was holding {Gaze of Granite}. About a half an hour later we are still playing the same game and I top deck an {Entreat the Angels} with 12 open mana. In a fit of pure excitement I tap all out and yell "ENTREAT FOR 10!!!!" He comfortably says okay. He proceeds to destroy all of my tokens for 3 mana. I was holding a {Dissipate} in hand :( I lost

Did you really need 10 angels haha 7 would be enough to hold back a dissipate.

4 would have been plenty! I was just so excited lmao
Ripping {Bonfire of the Dammed} of the top and tapping out while forgetting that little {Judge's Familiar}. I cried that night...
My freind lost to me one time,I was down to 6 life and 4 cards in library,he cast a {Consuming Aberration} that was 56/56 and I {Essence Backlash}ed it and won that game so hard.
I once won 3rd at a prerelease playing 5 color deck, most people were really steamed
It didn't have any loyalty left.

Yeah he dropped it and I was like come on {Acidic Slime}! But alas, no slime. GG sir 😩
But {Battle of Wits}'s effect only triggers during his upkeep. Why not use the {Acidic Slime} first?
Sounds like a plea for a topdeck.

Oh I see. I thought he had Acidic Slime already.
