Can you sacrifice a permanent that you own at any time you want?
No
Only as an effect of an ability or paying the cost of an ability.
Poor souls get sacrificed just cos u want them to -.-"
XD YES THEY DO!!!! And thanks guys!
I'm starting to get more and more disappointed with the people I play with. Seeing as they believe they could sacrifice at any time sometimes I wonder if they've even flipped through the rule sheet.
They behave the way I started magic when I was grade 7.
Well we are now sophomores so I guess that just shows how far people have fallen mentally? :/
Like it basically makes cards like pacifism useless. Because they're all like oh well I sacrifice that then!
In grade 7 we thought {Scaled Wurm} was the strongest creature around and nothing can stop it.

Not even {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn}!
Ok here's another, can u discard at any time?
No. A spell or ability must force you or give you the choice.
See : {hymn to tourach}
{liliana of the veil}
