I'm debating whether to take bant auras or bant control to tournament tonight. Meta is fairly balanced, leaning more toward control. I enjoy bant auras but I feel like when up against control if I'm not doing well or on the field on turn 4 it's already over whereas with control I never feel like I'm completely out of a game. Any suggestions, ideas for what to take and sideboard would be very much appreciated.
Sideboard
Bant auras I run:
2 {Blind Obedience}
2 {Nevermore}
3 {Pacifism}
1 {Witchbane Orb}
Bant control:
3 {fog}
2 {blind obedience}
3 {fog bank}
Drawing a blank on more side board ideas.
I feel bant control is the much better choice, more fun, and if u can survive until like turn 6 the game is pretty much yours.
Exactly, it's a blast. Only thing is I want the best chance to win. Ya know?
Depends on the cards you have for each... If you own all the cards for both decks, bant auras can be really overwhelming. If there is a bigger portion of control being ran, and you like control, take bant control....take a look at Melissa DeTora's wolf run bant deck and see if splashing three mountain shocks could help improve your chances.
Yeah, but even after u saying that i feel control is your best bet :)
I took my Bant Auras (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?topic=23360.msg200459#msg200459) to Game Day, and went 8-0. If you know you'll be playing some control decks, just main deck some {Voice of Resurgence}. You should have an easy time of it. Also, I recommend some way to survive {Supreme Verdict}. {Rootborn Defenses} works supremely well if you're running Voices.
I went 7-0-1 with my bant control list and regret nothing :p bant control ftw!
I own virtually all the cards for each, just really can't afford voice of resurgence at the moment. Ill take a look at splashing red shocks for sure.
Have you looked at Wolf Run Bant (http://sales.starcitygames.com/deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=53126)?
I've been play testing both decks. Bant hexproof is undefeated so far and bant control has a few losses. When you can kill someone turn 4 with a geist it's nasty

My favorite game went something like this:
Turn 1: {Temple Garden}. Pay 2 life. Tap Garden. {Fencing Ace}.
Turn 2: {Sunpetal Grove}. Tap Grove, {Rancor} Ace. Tap Garden. {Ethereal Armor} the Ace. Swing 10.
Turn 3: {Hinterland Harbor}. Tap all 3, {Unflinching Courage} the Ace. Opponent scoops.
Turn one fencing ace?
{Fencing Ace}... 2 cmc. Can't turn 1 him.

Note to self: don't try to type while on pain meds. Turn 1 {Avacyn's Pilgrim}. Turn 2 and 3 as posted, Turn 4 {Silverblade Paladin} bonding to the Pilgrim.
