Title: Protection from Sacrafice?
Post by: imreallyagoodman on June 07, 2013, 03:34:09 PM
Hey guys,

If a player plays a spell or ability that makes opponents Sacrafice a creature, can that be prevented by me ( an opponent ) giving myself protection from the color of that originating spell or ability.

Also, would spells or abilities work different?

I am using  {Seht's Tiger} to gain protection.

Hey guys,

Your answers do help.

In my particular situation the card was opponents Sacrafice a creature. So the cat would not stop it then?

Should of added this.

The other player is  {Butcher of Malakir} . I want to flash in  {Seht's Tiger} to not be "targeted". Does this work?

It will not, I'm afraid. The Butcher's ability does not target anything, so protection will not help.

Lilians says "target player sacs a creature". Your cat would save you from this.
