Green/ red are about acting in the moment. Blue is about thinking long term. So why wouldn't green/red have more ETB triggers? Nothing says acting in the moment and not thinking about the consequences more than an ETB trigger. I thought blue thought things through, shouldn't ETB triggers be less in blue?
I think blues EtB have more of the control aspect when they hit the field while red has more of a ping/damage effects and some green help with the card draw or stabilizing.
Yknow what birdbrain? Why dont you take over WotC and make all the changes you see fit. I envision a very interesting and different game under your rule. Please do
No. I probably wouldn't get along with R&D. I'm kind of a free spirit, and what they say goes without any question
Is anyone going to argue with me?

Should they? You have a good point.
Though just for the sake of devil's advocate, you could argue that {R} has something even more 'in the moment' than ETB effects: Haste.
{U} is about tricks, deceit, and mind games, and the ETB effects of blue usually conform to that concept. An {Æther Adept}, for example, isn't so much "living in the moment" as she is "appearing in a puff of smoke and mirrors, all according to plan."
Red gets it because they're impulsive and EtB is a short effect, perfect for red.
Green is creature oriented, and EtB is essentially spells attached to creatures. So it works for them.
Blue is manipulative, also one could suggest blue attuned creatures would also have an affinity towards this also. So spells being attached to blue creatures would be fine.
Black is manipulative, they're greedy and selfish. Creatures that would be aligned with black would theoretically share this as well.
White gets lots of enchantments, which have EtB effects. Moving this over to creatures is a no-brainer. They also share flickering with blue. As in the case of {Fiend Hunter} being a sort of creature attached to a weakened {Oblivion Ring}.
Enter the Battlefield abilities are things that happen when creatures enter the battlefield, so really any color and any creature could have them - because by logic of the game it is the creature casting that spell.
It would be akin to saying that only 2 colors should have creatures with activated abilities. It is the creature entering the battlefield casting a spell, so much as it is the creature casting a spell when it is activated.
Good point dudecore. Although, red gets its mana from its emotions and green gets its mana from its connection with nature. It's creatures run on instinct, and ETB fits the wildness of green, sense nature starts unpredictable, and what was unpredictable becomes less so over time
I'm not saying ETB effects should be exclusively those colors. (Notice i said less, and more. Not all or nothing) just saying those colors could use it more, sense they want to do things right away
I think there ought to be a 6th color still!

That's WotC's motto
Yep, a color dedicated to extremely expensive cards made only to show one's wealth in a game.
Lol

Black and Red get rituals. They're usually negative, and more in red at this point (last ritual I can remember was {Infernal Plunge}).
I think Green wouldn't really be next for EtB effects. Green does share the same type of "instinct" in the sense of "wild speculation", but Green shares more with white then it does Red. Being unpredictable isn't the same as being inevitable. Green would respect nature too much to try and "force a change" in my opinion.
I think on a level of flavor, probably Red and Black would be EtB. Black would want to summon something, summon something that makes you have to make poor decisions. Things like demons that would force you to make tough choices. Those creature who would like nothing more then you to choose your health over your sanity.
