This is definitely a spot that I'm workin on touching up my rules knowledge.
Situation:
I have {Cartel Aristocrat} and a {Doomed Traveler} on the battlefield. Opponent has {thragtusk} and {tamiyo, the moon sage} with 2 counters.
I attack with the {cartel aristocrat}, then sacrifice the {doomed traveler} for protection from green.
My opponent then plays {azorius charm}. At this point, would the token that comes from the sac of {doomed traveler} be on the battlefield and be able to be sacrificed for protection from white or blue?

If it is response to the first sacking, no, because the sacking goes on the stack, and you don't get the token until it resolves.
If he charmed after you got the token, then by all means, sack the token and give him pro blue on top of his charm in the stack.
That's what I figured, but I know there are times when there is no priority to respond to things and I wasn't sure if this situation was one of them. Thanks.
I actually thought so, but the sacrifice was a cost. I was thinking whether the token does hit the ground since we would always need to pay the cost to activate the ability.
Now where are our resident experts...

The token will not be on the field yet. The ability triggers, and goes on the stack. You get the token once the ability resolves, not when it triggers:
116.2a (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=116.2a): Triggered abilities can trigger at any time, including while a spell is being cast, an ability is being activated, or a spell or ability is resolving. (See rule 603, "Handling Triggered Abilities.") However, nothing actually happens at the time an ability triggers. Each time a player would receive priority, each ability that has triggered but hasn't yet been put on the stack is put on the stack. See rule 116.5.
If anything is placed on the stack above it, that spell or ability will resolve first, before you get the token.
And here's your ruling on actually rescuing triggers:
603.3. (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=603.3.): Once an ability has triggered, its controller puts it on the stack as an object that's not a card the next time a player would receive priority. See rule 116, "Timing and Priority." The ability becomes the topmost object on the stack. It has the text of the ability that created it, and no other characteristics. It remains on the stack until it's countered, it resolves, a rule causes it to be removed from the stack, or an effect moves it elsewhere.
So it means u actually only pay the cost when the ability resolves?

It means that when {Doomed Traveller} dies, its ability triggers, and goes on the stack. Once it resolves, you get the token. Because of this, anything played after the ability triggers (while the ability is still on the stack) will resolve before you get the token.
I see, I understood that.

Thanks for the explanation, understating rule 116 is something I need to fully understand
