Hey there. I'm a huge Muse fan, and Sunburn is one of the best. I've recorded myself playing it before on my Soundcloud, but due to space issues I had to delete it. I suggest if you want a non electric instrument that you pick piano. That's what I record/play primarily. Feel free to ask me if you need any help!

It's all up you and what you feel comfortable with, really. Your school group sounded very good. I think Sunburn would be hard to do on handbells, but that's just me. It's a hard piece on keyboard/piano as well. What instrument(s)do you play or do you know the best?

Interesting instrument! I've never met anyone who can play it. Funnily, Sunburn just came on my iTunes as I type this :D
I can link my soundcloud if you want. There's a lot of Muse on there, I just don't remember if there's Sunburn or not.
EDIT: Oops, check it again, it isn't very updated right now (only two Muse songs?!) but I'll link it anyways and reupload a bit this weekend.

I would do it on bass or cello steel drums personally...

My school also happens to have steel pans/drums too

They're mediocre, they don't really stay in tuned for long because people bang on them

Thanks! I record with my keyboard, normally it takes multiple recordings put together. I will be putting up some live records soon, hopefully. Uprising by Muse, the Skyrim theme (albeit a simpler take, that one took three different piano tracks!) and Gold on the Ceiling by the Black Keys. Glad you enjoyed em!
