Just wondering if this will be aggressive enough for the early turns? Anything I should add or take out? Also sideboard ideas? Thanks for taking a look guys!
Look at my deck (not that my deck is perfect) but it'll help you a lot.
1. Add Mana Dorks like {Arbor Elf}
2. Add more Bloodrush
3. {Strangleroot Geist}!!!!!!
4. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BUY 2+ {Stomping Ground} instead of those God awful gates
5. {Champion of Lambholt}!!!
What's the reasoning for strangleroot Geist? So I added arbor elf, took out hamlet captain, would of taken zhur taa Druid but he's not legal in standard apparently. Dunno about wild defiance now, what would I trade that in for? I also added in wasteland viper for my ash zealots first strike attacks.
{Burning-Tree Emissary} is a waste in this deck with no other 2 drops castable besides {Alpha Authority}, which would be a waste on the emissary. It obviously needs to go on the beastmaster or the silver heart. {Strangleroot Geist} instead of emissary.
If you play Gruul or really any green aggro deck, you should probably have some Strangleroots they're amazing and ya if you keep Burning Tree maybe add a {Lightning Mauler} it's a great turn two to put down Burning Tree and Mauler paired and swing for 4
Ok I added the giests in there, took out the emissary's. took out vexing devils and put in giant growth.
Idk I wouldn't really listen to that guy {Burning-Tree Emissary} is an amazing card even without many 2 drops you can play it to mana fix play 1 drops or even post turn 2 you get a free creature so id put it back in
Hahaha ok. What should I trade them for then?
Instead of just "taking something out" use the sideboard. Its an extra 15 card slot that will allow you to fix for game two and three, that way you wont have to try and cover all bases with your opening list.
for example, if you have just taken out your BTE's they will sit in the sideboard ready to exchange for something else.
I would also recommend adding a playset of Naturalize in the sideboard as its sometimes you just need to get rid of some stupid enchantment that is screwing up your games..
Ya I could, I just like having a solid list before I work on the sideboard. Thanks for the input guys!
Ya sideboard is so key
