1. Know the value of your cards and the value of the cards you want. Keep in mind that this app gives you prices and you can cross reference those prices from other trusted websites.
2. Provide links to your cards, wanted or needed, by adding the curly brackets so each party can view the value and description.
3. Maintain organization. A easy way to do this is to PM a list of what exactly you are requesting, with the curly brackets on the cards, to the other person. Request that the other person responds by quoting your list back to you with the list they would want in return.
4. Finally, PM both finalized lists to the other person and have them respond with a quote if they agree.
5. Exchange mailing info and let the other person know when you get the requested cards.
Lastly, I will say to remember Piotr's rule of no lying or stealing. We will do our best to mitigate the risk of theft by updating the "Trusted Traders" thread and we encourage everyone to share their successful trades through that thread as well. PM me with trading issues and I will do my best to help. This is "trade at your own risk" but know that we are here to assist however we can.
Someone requested if they could use me as a an in-between for big trades. The idea is that both parties would mail me their portion of the trade. Each party would need to get 2 envelopes and pre-pay the second one to be mailed with the cards. I would then confirm that both parties cards are to the agreed terms and mail them after I confirm. Obviously you are paying twice the shipping and waiting twice as long but it will be guaranteed.....unless I 😲 or something......knock on wood lol.
I do not have a problem doing this as long as it does not get to overbearing. So just PM if you want me to help out with bigger trades or if there is a new user not trustworthy yet.
