Title: Cost to put an app in App Store

I was just wondering how much does it cost to put an app in the app store ? What percentage off the selling price of your app goes to you and what percentage goes to apple? What do you need to make an app (I'm assuming a Mac and do you have to pay for the apple interface)?

Indeed, that is the cost of an apple developer's license, which allows you to put your work on the market.

30% of 0 is 0 btw, so it hardly matters if its all free :]

All free apps have advertising on them, so profit is still made!!! And 30%  apple steals :P

Ahem, I need to call 2 lies on that: not all free apps have advertising in them, and what Apple does is getting their part of voluntary agreement, not steal.
