Title: BJT33(Various): Pro-generous

BlackJester's Tricks 33

Okay, okay, okay!  For you, my loyal readers (what's left of you), I'm a little behind on my combos.  I could give you excuses, or we could just move past this and I give you a schwack of combos/interactions to shut you up.  Sound good?  I thought so.  Today, I'll be focusing on a certain Avatar that is protected up the wazoo:  {Progenitus}

Blazin' Saddles!

{Progenitus} + {Inkmoth Nexus}/{Blighted Agent} + {Blazing Shoal}

This one was lighting things up in Modern recently.  Turn two, animate the Nexus, pitch a Pro-star to the shoal and presto! 11/1 infectious flier!  Done!

Big Bang Theory

{Progenitus} + {Erratic Explosion}/{Explosive Revelation}/{Kaboom!}/{Riddle of Lightning}/{Heretic's Punishment}

Just make sure that you can topdeck the hyper hydra and chuck it to your nemesis' face!  How, you might ask?  I might answer:
{Worldly Tutor}
{Congregation at Dawn}
{Brutalizer Exarch}

...to get you started.

Knock, Knock...
who's there?  Nothingness.  (I suddenly have the urge to read some E.A. Poe...)
If you've got the Pro-all on top of your library, why bother with plain old direct damage?  Why not forcibly remove players from the game?   :o

{Progenitus} + {Door to Nothingness} + {Charmed Pendant}

Bam!  You're fired!  Flipping a Progenitus with the pendant would also help cover the costs of the Ultimatums ({Clarion Ultimatum }, {Brilliant Ultimatum}, {Cruel Ultimatum}, {Violent Ultimatum}, and {Titanic Ultimatum}).  Flipping an Ultimatum ain't to shabby neither.

Alright, that's all I got for now.  Let everyone know if you have some Progenitus tricks up your sleeve.

Cheers!

👏 bravo 👏

Although I think {progentius} would be upset that you are using him as a sacrificial lamb instead of allowing him to beat the opponents face in 😜

Pssht! He's just a 10/10. I'm trying to focus on something that makes him special. ;)

Nice work!
The last one is by far the most effective.
At no point (other than the ultimatums) would you be able to {counter} or {redirect} to save against that. :)

{bind} or {stifle} would save ya and he would have to sac the door as part of the cost so he would be S O L to do it next turn

Lol I still think in modern. Those cards are in vintage I'd guess. Sometimes have problems with blue control decks breaking combos :)

Nah, I've hardly memorized every card. I mean how many are in Homelands anyway?  😜

I just good at searches.

BTW {Stifle} can break nearly any combo, (Same with {Voidslime}) I just don't see them all that much.

Voidslime was the other I was thinkin of.  Stifle is good cuz of the triggered ability aspect
