Ok, I wanted to bring this up for some old memories.
The good ones, the bad ones, then the...other ones....
Anyway post here what you think, or thought about the games, TCG, and the anime.

Just bought and beat Silver about 2 months ago. Second Gen was amazing, the fact that you could backtrack through Kanto and experience a new twist on the first gen story was pretty sweet. I hadn't played any of the second gen before that.
Inb4 hipster states first gen best. And completely denounces any gen after that.
Even though the newer gens are just as amazing if not better than the original in terms of power and creativity.
New creature type in X/Y is going to be fairly. I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out. I'm thinking psychic/bug feel when it comes to abilities.
If you aren't playing Green on a Japanese cartridge, you haven't truly played Pokemon (or Pocket Monsters as it's really called, but you plebs wouldn't know about that)

I acually watched a nostalgia critic review of the first pokemon movie. You know, 'Pokemon The First Movie.'
Anyway I think the new type will be interesting, some retyping will be in order.
I wish they hadn't made the new eeveelution. If you haven't seen it look up Sylvion
I played Blue/Red/Yellow, and I'll be honest and say I still play Soulsilver. Black/Black 2 were ok. Second gen was by far my favorite, though.
I played 1st gen and 2nd gen, then I started again with 5th gen. It would seem I really missed out with 3rd gen though. I'm still waiting to see an announcement for a Ruby/Sapphire re-release. It would make me a very happy person. The Pokémon in R/S were really neat. I'm just going to quit talking there before I continue rambling about Pokémon... I could go on for hours about it :P
I have to say, my least favorite region was Sinnoh. They played it safe, and I didn't like it. I personly loved the game you got Zekron in. I liked the story the pokemon EVERYTHING! Except for some of the sprites. But very few of them.
Kanto and Johto were my all time favorites.
I forgot which region was 1st gen. You know, the ones that were for gameboy color. That was more mature then the newer ones and appreciated that.
Gen 1 = Kanto
Gen 2 = Johto
Gen 3 = Hoenn
Gen 4 = Sinnoh
Gen 5 = Unova
The dungeon mystery games had the best story.
So many feels.

I only ever played up to 3rd Gen. I grew up on Red and my cousin had yellow. My brother had bought me blue for Christmas one year and I ended up angering him somehow. Long story short he kept blue until he moved out lol. It pretty much became his Pokemon game. On a different note I actually had around a 300 hour save on Saphire maybe a year after its release and my brother decided he wanted to play the newer ones and decided to start a new game. Need I say more? I lost Saphire, Leaf Green and Emerald after that, I think I threw them away in a fit of rage or something. I had yet to pick up another Pokemon game until just recently.
I was playing black not so long ago I got to the elite four then my brother deleted my game...:(
In black, after you fight the elite four the first time, they get freakin HARD! I mean really, what happened in the course of a few days they. Did the pokemon just get high off rare candies?
I finally beat the Elite 4 for the first time on White 2. I know there's another round after. I just rarely have time to play. But, if anyone wants to share some pal codes and such, let me know. :D
Haha I actually just bought soul silver like 2 weeks ago because I wanted to experience the gen2 from as a kid again. Since then I've gone on my PC and downloaded VBA and all the emulators for the older games. I also found an app for all you iphone users check out pokebuilder
