If u have a plainswalker's or any other permanent that says it enters the battle field with a set amount of counters on it will it enter with double?

{Doubling Season}

I dont think so due to the use of the word "put". So if you were to put a counter on something, the effect would kick in but these cards you speak of {Like {Phyrexian Hydra}?) enter the battlefield with them already on the card.

Proliferate {Steady Progress} is what you're after.

Yes, they enter with double.

"If an effect would place one or more counters on a permanent you control, it places twice that many of those counters on that permanent instead."

So sayeth the {Doubling Season}!

"Enters the battlefield" abilities and Loyalty counters are placed as an effect.  It won't add double when you activate a Planeswaker because that is a cost, not an effect.

Don't forget that there are rulings for just about each card that can help answer FAQs. If you go to the card and hit Rulings, you'll find you can often answer your own questions.
Not that I mind, of course. 😌
