Master of cruelties + hellrider + (idk the name but all lands generate swamp mana in addition to their other land types)
Seems good, but master has to attack alone so takes a 3 turn set up unless you give master haste

But when you have like say 4 mountains.
Play that swamp. You now have 8 mana. And can do whatever TF you want. ;-;

That's a nice one too.
Ok so you have hellrider and master, you attack with master they take 1 immediately, now they can block and only have 1 life lost or they can not block and they still have 1 life, i's a great combo idea and I like it with grixis for {Artful Dodge}, but it doesn't go off in a single turn

Nope but since we were playing a 5 way free for all. He had time to set it up and we didn't even notice. Two players died immediately before we got Master exiled hahaha
This doesnt seem very strong as a combo. If the damage was dealt after the cruelty's trigger then sure that would be great, but alas that is not the case.

Wait. Hellrider doesn't get dealt after Cruelties goes off?
Nope. Hellrider deals damage when attackers are declared(so during the attack phase)
Master of cruelties specifies he must be unblocked for his effect, which will not be determined until after the declare blockers phase.

Gonna wreck his day tomorrow with this.
{Sanguine Bond} + {Exquisite Blood} loop of shenanigans. I played a person that had the deck as well as me. We both got the combo. Pretty funny neutralizing each other.
{Heartless Summoning} + {Havengul Lich} + {Priest of Urabrask}
Throw down any {Fireball} type effect card.

I play with this combo and its great but is there a way to make this work in multiplayer aka kill more than one person a turn?

My best days in standard were because of this.
I thought the most annoying insta win was flash hulk. You can win on the upkeep of the first turn I belive
How about {Isochron Scepter} and {Silence}?
I used to think that combo was unstoppable til my girlfriend used {torch fiend}.

We're common law. She's still my girlfriend. On a good day I call her wife lol

That's pretty epic.
This thread got me thinking...all of my favorite combo wins have been in standard. I think this is mostly because in standard people dont expect to get comboed out instantly.
Turn 3: {heartless summoning}, {priest of urabrask}, {havengul lich}, {bonfire of the damned}
Turn 3: {goblin electromancer}, {battle hymn}, {krenko's command}, {infernal plunge}, {thatcher's revolt}, {faithless looting}, {past in flames}, {reforge the soul}, {massive raid}/{burn at the stake}/{rally the peasants}
Turn 4: {gilded lotus}, {deadeye navigator}, {zealous conscripts} (some lucky ramp here, the deck was designed to control until around turn 7 or 8 before combo)
Turn 5 with only {heartless summoning} on board at a PTQ: {priest of urabrask}, {rune-scarred demon}, search {phyrexian metamorph} x2 both copy the demon, search an play {urabrask the hidden} and swing game.
Hard to beat turn 3 and turn 4 plays with that same heartless deck included cloned {thundermaw hellkite}, {inferno titan}, and {frost titan}
Now it's time to make some new ones!

My new favorite friend in heartless is {Desecration Demon}. What's better than a 6/6 flying demon for 2 B
5/5 flyer with heartless btw

Good call but still. That's godly
{Blast of Genius} + {Thunderous Wrath}
Coupled with two 1/5s who when you play an instant (blast) they become 5/1s instant 19 damage if they can't block.
This is why I have respect for Izzet.
And {Goblin Electromancer} never hurts
{Curse of Exhaustion} + {Possibility Storm} or {Knowledge Pool}. Not quite instant, but it puts players in lockdown.
1st turn, opponent plays first. He plays a mountain, {Lotus Petal}, {Dark Ritual}x2, {Raging Goblin}, {Hatred}, pays 19 life on hatred. There were no words.
I like using {Leyline of the Void}+ {Helm of Obedience} because of the chance to have leyline out for free at the beginning of the game and it works in mono black. Though without that effect {Rest in Peace} is far better especially if you not running mono black.
My deck I'm putting together (in casual forum under "game ender") runs sanguine bond+exquisite blood, helm of obedience+leyline of the void, dark depths+vampire hexmage.

{Guttersnipe} helps make this nasty too. Also works well with {Gelectrode}
This makes me want to {Blast of Genius} an {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn}.

I have a question. If you play {Goblin Electromancer} and then any card. For instance {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn}
Wouldn't it do less damage as the electromancer reduces its mana cost for you? {Blast of Genius} doing the converted mana cost? I'm not completely sure how cmc works.
Oh ok. I thought if like you had stuff that reduced mana cost the damage would be reduced as its mana cost went down for you.
