Title: Geist of Saint Traft
Post by: Slenderbro on May 12, 2013, 10:25:16 PM
As it pertains to exalted, does he lose the counters because of the angel he produces?
I don't have rulings enabled so I'm not sure if it was explained there or not.

Geist will still get the bonus from Exalted. When the game refers to "whenever a creature attacks" type effects, it looks to see what/how many creatures were declared as attackers during your "Declare attackers" step. Since the angel is placed on the battlefield attacking, it is never declared an attacker, and won't interfere with exalted effects.
