Title: Gruul Charm foreshadowing
Post by: izik99 on May 12, 2013, 10:03:17 PM
I think  {Gruul Charm}'s second ability foreshadows a theme of control-switching/gaining in M14 or Theros. Maybe the gods start to take over people's bodies?

There are rumors to the effect of Theros being an Enchantment Block. It could be worthy of those schinannigans. Although I think it was to squash {Soul Ransom} in limited, and perhaps {Zealous Conscripts} in constructed.

They already used that on {Selesnya Charm} for some reason.

I've always thought {Hellkite Tyrant} seemed out of place. A card that cares about a whole lot of artifacts in a multicolor block? Weird.

He's good in multiplayer especially with all these clue stones

I know they did. But that ability seems more Gruul than Selesnya to me at least.

I would think Selesnya would be all creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn, which I don't think was an ability they used.
{Simic Charm} also got a pump spell on it
