Defender ramp route maybe? {Axebane guardian} and some other defenders. Or maybe the all one drops route.

Fog is really helpful the only problem is its rotating out maybe that new DM card
Prevent all combat damage then gain 1 life for each creature your opponent controls

Well that goes for elf and pilgrim also, we still got 3 months lol. {Chromatic Lantern} and possible Cluestones, {Farseek}?
