Hey what do you all think of {render silent} as a counter spell? I'm on the fence about it
Mine came up pretty useful in a sealed. That plus {Soul Tithe} locked an opponent down well for me :)
It's the best counter spell standard has seen since mana leak, and if you have them run with 3 or more
I personally think it's pretty sweet, sure {Dissipate} exiles, but I've heard that {Silence is pretty good.
It replaces {Syncopate} in my build, pretty solid as a 2-of. {Dissipate} remains a 2-of. {Render Silent} sets up a nice {Sphinx's Revelation}
{Rewind} sets up a slightly better one :)
It's quite good against {Burning-Tree Emissary}. (on the draw, of course.)

They wouldn't have the mana to cast any more, so silence wouldn't do anything. It etb effect.
Also, most people tap out for spells anyway, so they won't be casting any more.

I don't think so. Protecting a timely Sphinx is a little more valuable to me then how much I actually do it for. Especially if I can cast it willingly.
