So I have been trying to make an effective mill deck and I think zombie mill is the way to go.  You can see from the sideboard that I have made several variants to include merfolk and some other good mill strategies.  Opinions?

Seriously!?  Early game D, and if you use any fetch lands they do double duty, an help ramp {Brain Freeze}. Crabs were star players in my mill.
{Archive Trap} + {Ghost Quarter} 👍
Also, I like {Mindcrank} to fuse mill and damage.

Also, I like {Mindcrank} to fuse mill and damage.

The crab was in my original build but I could not incorporate it in a deck that could withstand aggro decks.  This zomb variant has a better defensive game that has the potential to mill better than the crab and increase the size of the zomb army with the alchemist.

I gave that card some thought too....  I think I would rather rely on the instant and sorceries in here.  Do think the confusion could be more effective?  Maybe late game....but the recast is nice though.

Is a Mill {Fireball} effective?! He'll yeah it is mate, especially when doubled after recast! It's pretty much a staple in mill decks of mine from now until the next sliced bread!

Agreed. I wish I could have 6 Glimpses in a deck. 🏆 lol

That is my point.  I think the other cards are more effective than the confusion.  I think the confusion is a good substitute for the aforementioned, but I would rather run glimpse, archive, or mind funeral if I have em 😁

Mill is highly entertaining, definitely my fab strategy. Can I recommend {Traumaitze}. This card is Boss! And the good old {Jester's Cap}? It's been mentioned before by the Jester himself, but what of {Mindcrank}? Another nice audition could be {Grindclock}?

oh man, {Feldon's Cane} was the bane of my game in the beginning. All my friends had them just coz they were scared of my awesome milling power, BWAHAHAHAAAAA ... jerks.

Better than mill is flat out exile!
Maybe sideboarded {Grafdigger's Cage} incase you run into dredge or reanimator?

Thanks for the suggestions and yes the scepter would be awesome if the glimpse could be used with it.  Been thinking of tossing in my {crumbling sactuary} as well.  Could be a last minute save and increase my life by my deck size if I am getting overwhelmed on the BF.

Yep! And I've always got some form of opponent reanimation, like {Rise from the Grave} for example, in my mill deck for that one awesome fatty of theirs that gets milled.

how does that one work?
It will stop people being able cast things like {Rise from the Grave}, so essentially what ever creature you mill, stays milled.

Waitaminute... I meant {Jester's Scepter}. Yeah, I forget what else I had, but I kept using the tranny's (😂) ability over and over to keep exiling the top five cards from everyone else's deck.

Oh in that case, you might like {Nim Deathmantle} too? There is no combo or real synergy here with Rise but it does resurrect things as Zombies too. 😊

Edit: It might work with {Ghoulcaller's Bell} ... ?

I must say the {undead alchemist} helps put a lot of tokens in play if you time things right with this deck.  I can't wait til the cards get here and I can play this deck in real life instead of just Cockatrice.  It was cool to see 19 cards dumped with a {mind funeral}.....doesn't always work that way though lol.

I can attest that the undead alchemist works fantastic in a zombie mill deck.
I also try to keep an unsummon up my sleeve so I don't have to mill for the win, and just make it all damage again. :)
