They made a creature that costs {G}{G} and is a freaking 3/3!
This is a slippery slope that might push aggro to be the only archetype that is viable...grrr
http://mythicspoiler.com/m14/
Green often has creatures that push their mana cost. I dont think it is all that bad honestly
{garruks companion} is a 3/2 for 2....wait. I forgot. There was some wolf in ravnica that was a 3/3 for {W}{G}....never mind
{Watchwolf}
{Leatherback Baloth}
{deadbridge goliath}
{primalcrux}
Its the way of life
Oh, {call of the conclave}
Doesn't seem too bad to me. It's power creep.
Until i see vanilla 2/2s for one ill keep my peace
Or a vanilla 5/5 for 0 that has haste, trample, hexproof, double strike, death touch and lifelink...something like that it would have to have, "you lose the game at the end of the turn" or something
{Woolly Thoctar}
Umad?
Have you see The instant speed 5/5 trampler token for 4?

{Advent of the Wurm}
I've got two of that card
Then there's {Force of Savagery} and {Incandescent Soulstroke}.

The equivalent of {pact of the titan} but on roids

Wouldn't be vanilla then would it?
3/3 for 2 with no abilities doesn't frighten me. If it was {1}{G} splashible I'd be worried.
Ask me if I would rather see strangleroot geist than this "scary" card. My answer is no. Standard offers better things than even this. I would love my aggro opponent to waste his or her second turn casting a guy with no haste!
Woah, good point CV! Totally forgot about strangleroot. Makes this guy seem really mediocre now haha
Well.. Because he is:p
It just goes to show you, standard is getting way out of hand. Everything is either overpowered, or not played in constructed decks. Everything has to have more p/t than mana cost, haste, or sick mana costs. I am not sure I like how things are going. But it is probably like an economic cycle...it will pass with time.
Or result in the death of magic... Look at how ridiculous yugioh is now, perhaps magic is on the same downward spiral

Never. I think magic is better than it ever has been.
Eh, more players, but I'm on the anti-aggro wagon. It would be nice to see decks with more spirit than turn sideways and win.
I doubt magic will be like yugio. It's just standard that bothers me at the moment. Other formats are not being harmed...when was the last time someone playing modern or legacy tapped out for a {Thragtusk}? I just think that the t2 card pool is pure insanity right now. But it will pass hopefully, and probably with no lasting efffect on the game.
They gave us lots of stuff to help aggro. I hope next they give us stuff for control builds, and then the next block for combo builds

yea. Although I'm not against aggro. It provides variety to the game

Except that control decks still exist and win? I don't understand why you guys are just forgetting about them.
the top decks (last I checked) were all aggro. Except maybe Kiki-Jiki

I actually agree with you there, my friend Lane runs American Control and it's extremely fine tuned and my other buddy Josh has a really sweet Grixis Control. They definitely still exist, hence the price tag on {Sphinx's Revelation} currently, Aggro is just more popular in the current meta. Maybe if we get a reprint of {Mana Leak} in M14 we'll see a little more control play.

please do this WoTC
I think it was dudecore who said that aggro is not actually the best, butt it has the most quantity-for every control deck there are 4 aggro decks, so more will ahow up placing in tourneys. I agree with this theory. So while aggro isn't always better than control in the current meta, it does win more simply because more people play it.
