Just removed last stands, living death, and few others not legal for modern. Tips suggestions and advice always welcome. Also anyone in the area that wants to play I'm always game.
I'm in Lumberton Nj

Need to speed this up a little, also need advice on what creatures or planeswalkers to add.

The landbase is almost all entering tapped. I don't know if you want to spend tons of money on shocklands and fetchlands...

What would you say the overall goal of the deck is? It seems a little all-over-the-place.
A deck focused on a few key synergies does better than one which tries to encompass them all.

I'd like to be competetive in modern play, problems is I am reading about a lot of fast kill strats out there.. I have a decent amount alrdy into this deck specifically so I wanna optimize and conquer, but yea I'm currently a mess with like 7 different possible plays in this deck and I hate the come into play tapped as it puts me a turn back from the start. Was hoping for some input and ideas to run with honestly. I wanted to add a bolas and have a land burning aspect to help equal out my handicap.

Yeah there's a reason that these tri-color lands see very little usage. I'd abandon this specific deck, but try adding little parts of it into their own deck, like a Grixis control deck with Bolas.

I just dropped like 70 bucks buying those lands and have a few other decks I can reform with but plz tell me more on this grixis control deck.

I've been out of magic for a long time and I am eager to get back in

The grixis control deck I sometimes use has plenty of {Mana Leak}, {Delver of Secrets}, {Lightning Bolt}, {Duress}, {Undermine}, {Augur of Bolas}, {Terminate}, and a few {Isochron Scepter} to hold it all together. The goal is to slow down the game's pace to a crawl until you can either overwhelm them with delver or drop a finisher like {Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker} or {Prince of Thralls}.

I've never been much of a spell user but I can't clearly see how simple life can be using the proper spells. Thank you very much for your advice I'm definately gonna grab some those cards i look forward to posting my updated deck.

I wasn't saying to abandon the whole thing, but rather that the synergies it contains would work better seperately.

Why when he could attempt to get this deck to work with the help of people? If he gets it to work, that would be awesome. I don't know how to get this to work, but someone else might.

I think that personally it might be more effective as seperate decks, and since neither of us know how exactly to make it effective like this, it would probably work better that way.

The deck will not be abandoned at all, it's will set me apart and give a few ppl something to talk about when it's done at matches. I'm seeking aide in bringing it together but I spend each day searching hundred of cards still new to me also tryna figure it out myself. I am eager to finish it and post up results.
