I've seen both dgm and dmz used to represent dragon's maze, but which one is more generally accepted?

Wizards uses DGM.
DGM because dra-gon maze. It is the beginning letter of a syllable

DGM is the correct abbreviation according to Wizards.
I think I need to work on thinking how something will sound before i say/type it. I wish you could transfer tones through typing
Dmz will always be de-militrised zone for me.
