I only cast maniac when I have 40+ cards in hand.
Might want to think about
{Nephalia Drownyard} to give another option for a win condition. Also I created a version of this idea as well based around  {Crypt Ghast} as another win condition with extort. 4 Ghast , 2  {Griselbrand}, 1 maniac, are my creatures. Haven't play tested it yet, but think about it and let me know what you think.

Also, with azorius charm as a 4 of, Nephalia drownyard is another way to effectively "kill" an opponents creatures.

Wow, thank you, I'm dropping Moorland for Drownyard, can't believe I didn't think of that...
