I just did the last database update today, and noticed that all of my saved stuff had been deleted. Umm is there any way to get it back.
Did you have a backup?
It did the whole, moving decks and what not. But they are no where to be found.
Restore from automatic iTunes backup, Settings and Tools -> Database Maintenance.
The update wrecked the app for me as well. All of my decks have a minimum of 8 red "null"s, which isn't too hard to fix because I know the decks really well for the most part. But now every single time I even attempt to look up a card the app crashes. It's also not allowing me to look up cards by clicking on them from the forums. If a bracketed name is clicked all I get is the blank null card. Clicking database from the main menu shows that all the cards are still there also, the app can't handle looking them up thoughI guess. Kinda sucks. Really don't want to have to redownload again.
Actually let's say a minimum of 12 nulls. Some deck are literally a few lands and the rest are just nulls. Gah I can't even fix them because my database keeps crashing.
EDIT: Well, I'm very persistent. Found a workaround. If I lock the filter it allows me to type in card/specify color etc., and even if it crashes, upon reopening it gives me my point where I ended last on my filter search. Still not seeing bracketed cards though.
Reset database then tried to retrieve backups, crashed every single time, tried at least ten times. Deleted and reinstalled. Backups didn't give me my decks back, luckily I post them on here very often. I'm just viewing my posted decks and loading them in the Deckbuilder. Viewing decks is a really cool option btw! I think I was working towards some sort of point here, not sure what. Lol well yeah, problem (sort of) solved.
If Reset Database didn't fix the issue, then I would try Factory Reset. If that didn't fix it still, bloody Apple's fault ;)
At some point we should be able to sync back and forth with iMtG Server.
How many apps are open on your device?
I suggest closing everything else and try doing a purge of all images, and doing the database update.
I've found sometimes my device can't assign enough memory to this app because I have other things open. Causing crashes.
Good luck.
