I have {guttersnipe} out, and I play {disintegrate} my friend casts {mana leak} and counters my spell. Does it still count as being cast, even though it didn't resolve? I want to know if my opponents take guttersnipe's damage

Since it went onto the stack yes from my experience and what people have told me but I could be wrong So correct me if so
Yes, it is cast. Going through the motions f playing a spell ensures it is cast. Tapping the mana and emptying it for the spell places it on the stack, and the spell is now 'cast.' Resolution and effects from the spell are independent of casting. Triggers caused by the CASTING of the spell(i.e. {guttersnipe}) are triggered as soon as the spell hits the stack.
