So this is not my first prerelease but it will be the first playing cooperatively, but luckily i am taking my brother along for help. I was wondering though, which guilds will best compliment each other? I know i want to go Orzhov, and he loves his Selesnya, so do yall think they will synergize well? also, there will be the chance that i get selesnya as my ally and him get orzhov, which would be wonderful of course..... any suggestions? i am definitely willing to play most any guild.
Orzhov is probably the best guild you can be for 2HG. Extort is opponent based, so it will his BOTH of your opponents, even though they share a life total. This causes each extort to deal 2 loss of life to them, and you and your friend gain 2, instead of 1. As for it pairing well with with Selesnya? Seems pretty solid to me. Selesnya can provide the beef, orzhov can provide the control and life drain.
