If they reprinted {Tundra} and the like, and I'm saying they will or should, how do you think it would affect Standard and Modern?

Do you think everyone would play 4-5 colors, even in aggro, or would that still be too inconsistent?

It would be consistent. Not every deck would run 5c, but the sheer number of 5c decks would increase I think. It depends what other cards wizards would print that would be in standard with the duals. For example, to counteract their power, they might reprint {Back to Basics} or {Ruination} or {Blood Moon}.
