Say I play 4  {Angel of Serenity}s and after being on the battlefield for one turn someone kills one do all 12 exiled cards stay exiled

I would think that the cards you exiled with that specific angel would come back, leaving all other cards exiled. But please correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct. The only way it would work out as the OP suggests is if the card read "Whenever a card named Angel of Serenity leaves the battlefield....."

When cards refer to themselves by name, they mean that specific card, not just any card with that name (unless worded like my above example says).
