Title: Combo question
Post by: Crisys on April 24, 2013, 11:00:02 AM
 {Dual Casting} + {Illusionist's Bracers}

Would these pair allowing for a triple cast of a spell? Or does the wording on bracers make it to where only innate creature abilities work instead of added abilities, such as the enchantment dual casting?

Thanks in advance everyone!

It works, and you could even copy 2 different spells instead of 2 copies of the same one

No it doesn't work. The bracers only copy "activated abilities" the dual casting copies. "Spells" you can use te bracers to copy a spell

I'm telling the truth, read the bracers. It says "ability of equipped creature" not "instant or sorcery"

The combo doesn't work

 {Dual Casting} gives the enchanted creature the activated ability to "R,tap: copy target instant or sorcery" how would this not work with {Illusionist's Bracers}? It is an activated ability for that creature.

You play the spell, copy it using the activated ability given by dual casting, this ability is copied making you able to copy another spell (or the same one). Seems pretty straightforward to me.

ULTRA-CONFIRMED!

It works. {Dual Casting} gives the creature the activated ability, which the bracers can then copy.

Confirming and RESOLVING

Nope illusion bracers actually says that isnt a mana ability so how would it work
Or dose isn't a mans ability mean one that adds mana to your mana pool
