I'll be there sat, sun, mon, and Tuesday. My wife has work stuff on Monday, and Tuesday, so I'm looking for a cool lgs to play at.
Apparently our hotel is about 10 miles from the French quarter.

Its so awesome. Definitely make it down to the French Quarter. The night life is cool there if youre into drinking, but I like it most during the day. Street performers everywhere, awesome stores to walk around in, and just an overall cool atmosphere. Fun place to walk around.
We went there for a few days on our honeymoon coming back from Florida. We wished we went there for our whole honeymoon instead. We have plans to go back this summer.

I used to play at Gamers Paradise out in Pratieiville, but I moved to Lafayette for school.
I'm sure if you google card shops near New Orleans you will get something.
Also, you do need to visit the French quarter. Maybe not at night but during the day it's such an amazing place. I love it there.
If you want to travel to the nothshore there is big easy comics were I go but the commute will take at least an hour both ways. I know there are a few in neworleans but not about there schedules or events. Slidell also has one.
